We arrived in Beijing last night, the flight was a long 14 hours but we kept ourselves occupied with movies on the Ipad, books and eating. We met up with 2 other families one in Chicago and the other here in Beijing. We should meet the rest of the group shortly when we head to breakfast. Today and tomorrow are days of sightseeing and Sunday we fly to Nanjing where will will meet David on Monday.
We are headed to see the Great Wall and maybe an acrobat show today. It is approximately 1.5 hours from downtown Beijing. Zhou... (aka Joe) our liaison who is here with us said there is a lot of traffic in the morning as compared to when we arrived at the hotel late last night. So this makes me think that it might not be all that far it might be just a matter of getting there.
